What size does my image need to be?
The minimal size your image should be is 500kb or 0.5mb. Any smaller than this and the image will not scale up very well and the picture will start to become pixelated.
Can you print a canvas from a mobile phone photo.
Alot of mobile phones say they have 5mega pixel camera and this leads people to believe that their camera will take beautiful photos. Camera phones are designed to take quick snap shots and it is very difficult to get a focused image without alot of noise and pixelation. However, some phones do take photos that are high enough quality to produce a canvas. If you are interested in printing from a mobile phone, please email the photo to us and we will check the quality and might also be able to suggest some settings on your phone that will increase future photo quality.
Can you print more than one image onto a canvas?
We can print as many images as you like onto your canvas. This can also
be done at no extra cost to you. But please note, the more photos you
have on a canvas the smaller each image will need to be.
Can you remove things from an image?
If requested we can remove; scratches, tears, sun-bleaching, casting, objects and even people from an image. We dont currently charge for this service, so jump in quick.
What sizes do you do?
We can do hundereds of different sizes of canvas because all of our frames individually assembled. this mans that we can produce canvasses of any size of rectangle or square.
Our smallest length is 15 cm and the longest is 180 cm
How long does it take?
Images that we take in-house usually take anywhere from 45 minutes upwards. The length of time we need varies depending on what we have been asked to do with the image and on the quality of the image in its original state
Anything we receive over the internet takes longer to finish as we will e-mail a proof copy back to every customer before printing.
Facebook and Twitter are great for photos!
Facebook and Twitter are great for sharing photos with friends. However they are not of a good print quality at all
Because there are millions of people use these sites everyday to upload and view their images, the websites automaticly compress the images inorder to reduce the wbsites loading time. Compressing the images results in a large reduction in quality.
This means that when we try and enlarge photos from Facebook they will distort very quickly
Try and get hold of the original from your or your friends camera and bring us that to ensure the best quality
Canvas Care
We use a water soluble ink in our printers this means that you cannot was your canvas or submerge it in any liquids or the ink will run
The best way to keep your canvas looking great is to
1) Keep it high out of reach of childrens fingers
2) Keep it out of environments that could damage it especially the kitchen and bathroom
3) Keep your canvas out of direct sunlight to keep the ink looking at its best
4) Dust your canvas regularly with a static dust cloth, no water
File Types
We can print from any kind of file type. The most common of these is the JPEG but we can also print from TIFF, BMP, RAW or any other type
How does my canvas come?
All the canvas we print come hand stretched onto treated fir or pine frames
All canvas come shrink wrapped in plastic and in a bag to keep them dry and safe in transit from our store
All this is inclusive in our price
Do you offer a rolled canvas service
If you wish we can print your canvas and not frame it. The price for this is roughly about half the price of a framed piece
I want my canvas framed
It is possible to have the canvas framed in a traditional frame, we however do not offer this as a service so you would have to take the canvas to a picture frame expert
I dont want my sides to be white
Dont worry we take a section of the edge of the image and create a mirror effect to fill out the white on the top bottom and sides of the canvas.
However if you do want wite on the side just ask one of the team they will be more than happy to help
